2021 Mentee

Nicole Garcia is a Texas native now LA transplant, a self-proclaimed pizza aficionado (but also loves a good street taco), and a nerd for all things Post Production. She’s worn many hats in post, ranging from Assistant Editor to Post Coordinator to now Post Supervisor at Evolution Media. Efficient workflows and problem solving are her jam and collaborating with her Post team is where she truly shines. Nicole believes leading from the front benefits all and aims to build a creative space that’s both safe and fun, even under stressful deadlines.
She’s been fortunate to have worked under many women in Post Production, and has taken on the role of mentor to the women who follow her, especially women of color. She continues to work to diversify post teams and provide BIPOC access to the tech side of the industry through organizations such as Film2Future. In her free time, Nicole is an avid and skilled baker (office perk!), a Dodgers fan, and with a dog named Queso, her love of food has no bounds. Ultimately, Nicole aims to nerd out indefinitely over workflows and to help build strong, diversified Post teams with companies that align with her core values.
