Delores Edwards

Delores Edwards is a multiple-Emmy award-winning and nominated producer, writer, and media executive. She creates and produces content in news, digital, talk, documentary, and entertainment programming.

Delores is the Executive Producer and showrunner of Basic Black, PBS’ longest-running news and public affairs program produced by and for communities of color at [w]GBH in Boston. Under Delores’ leadership, the Basic Black team received the prestigious Boston/New England’s National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Governors’ Award, their highest honor.

She previously served as the Executive Producer and showrunner for Open Studio at GBH.

Delores also produced content for national programs and networks, CBS This Morning, Good Morning America, ABC News & News Specials, VH1, BET, and OWN.

Her documentary and independent work include “Harlem’s Handmaids,” selected for the Reel Sisters NY film festival, “Bathroom,” a short screenplay that was a finalist in both the 2019 Wide Screen Film Festival and for the New England Film Star Award.

Her honors include multiple Clarion awards, an MPA Media and NABJ awards, the Margret and Hans Rey/Curious George Producers fellowship, and the Case Media fellowship.

A graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and Northeastern University, Delores began her television career at ABC News’ Nightline.
